Infections & Deaths on the Rise

Not counting a couple of recent days where large backlogs were added to the case total, yesterday say the most new infections nationally since September 7.

According to VnExpress data, the rolling seven-day case average (13,431) is higher than it’s ever been, though that is skewed by those backlog days. The number of active cases - 222,571 - is also just below the previous peak of roughly 225,000. There’s no denying that we are in the middle of another surge.

The two big spikes on the right include large backlogs of previously detected cases.
